URBAN OWNS OHIO? PROVE IT?

I know I have blogged on this topic recently but there are many uninformed ohio fans still spewing off about how coach meyer owns ohio in recruiting. Folks, this is false and couldn't be further from the truth. Please ohio fans, do some updated research before spilling this garbage to people who actually follow recruiting.

In 2012, 24 kids committed to Michigan and ohio. Meyer received 3 commitments and they were all flipped from other schools. He didn't recruit any of them, he sold his past success to them and they bought it. All the other ohio commits were Fickells and it shows. Hoke received 9 of them, the edge goes to Hoke and Michigan.

In the current 2013 recruiting class, 14 kids have committed to Michigan and ohio, Michigan has 8 of them. All of them are no less than four star recruits including the no.4 safety in the country Dymonthe Thomas who is actually a five star recruit. Six of the top 8 players in ohio are committed to Michigan including the NO.1 RB, NO.1 and 2 LB's, NO.1 TE, NO.2 CB and NO.1 edge rusher in Taco Charlton. Owning ohio would be more like 12-2 or 10-4 ohio, not 8-6 Michigan.

There is a rumor also that the NO.1 LB in ohio, Michael Ferns canceled his MSU visit after visiting Michigan over the weekend. Sounds like Michigan owns ohio to me. Michigan has a huge jump on 2014 and ohio is one of their top targets. All the top players in ohio for 2014 will be visiting Michigan. Hoke is not only selling Michigan but selling Michigan football to ohio players and making a huge impact on the HS football scene. Just to update all the uninformed ohio fans, Michigan is NO.1 in recruiting for 2013 by a landslide. Ohio is running out of options and they only have 11 commits and are almost 2,000 recruiting points behind Michigan. There seems to be no action going on by urban and his "dream team" staff in recruiting. Michigan owns ohio and actually the country as of now. Look for Michigan to close out their 2013 class with a few more blue chips before it's all over.
