In the trenches, this is the second part of my top offensive players in ohio this season.

Lets start with TE's

Blake Thomas, 6'4" 250, senior, St. Ignatius Commitment: osu

In a year where tight ends are not very strong in Ohio, Blake Thomas is the best of the bunch. He is the most athletic..he is a capable blocker but his routes and hands are his strong point. He can line up in various formations, he has size and runs well in the open field. How many TE's can pull off a bubble screen or line up in the slot?

Right Tackle

Kyle Kalis, 6'5" 305, senior, Lakewood ST. EDS, commitment: Michigan

Kalis is the most controversial story in this years recruitment. He committed to osu, then decommitted because of the scandal and landed on Brady Hokes lap in Michigan. I met Kalis last winter at a banquet and spoke to him for a few minutes. Let's get this straight. Kalis has the body of an elite NFL offensive lineman...right now, he is 17 yrs old. Kalis is not a tackle in college and I believe he will move inside to guard. He is not athletic enough for tackle but will be a stud interior lineman. He is massive, strong, moves a pile and will be a RB's best friend. Then there is the fact that he is an absolute prick on the field, watch him pound dudes into the ground even after the play is over. And he loves Michigan

RIGHT GUARD

Caleb Stacey, 6'4" 285, senior, Oak Hills, Commitment: Michigan

another one of Hokes boys. He was Michigans second commitment and is an absolute road grader. Stays low and can play anywhere on the line. Don't have his film right now but will probably play center at the next level. Could play either guard position if necessary. Check him out at scouting ohio.

CENTER

Lovell Peterson, 6'4" 285, junior, Wayne High, uncommitted

Only a junior, I have talked about him already. Started as a guard and ended up playing center and was the best I have seen by far. Peterson is strong and uses his leverage well. Notice he can get to the second level and bury LB's also. I will say this again, he is the most polished player at any position on the fied.

LEFT GUARD

Bennie Mcgowan, 6'4"300, senior, Centerville, Commitment: MSU

Are you kidding me? He is so quick off the snap and DL dissapear under him. He is brutal and absolutely pancakes whatever is in front of him. Centerville is usually a buckeye feeder but Michigan State recruited him hard and landed a stud.He is an all big ten caliber lineman in a couple years, probably the most under appreciated player in this class.

LEFT TACKLE

Kyle Dodson, 6'6" 310, senior, Cleveland Heights, Commitment: Wisconsin

Dodson is a house with legs. A prototypical LT, long and athletic with a huge wingspan. His pass protection and run blocking are equally good. Wisconsin has a long line of great college lineman and Dodson is no different. He does have academic issues, so hopefully that won't hinder him in the future.

Let me throw a couple more names at ya on the athletic side of things.

Jalin Marshall- check my blog for that highlight. http://bowmansfootballplanet.blogspot.com

Chris and Demetrious Davis, 5,9" 180, seniors, Austintown Fitch, Commitments: Both to Pitt.

I was in attendance at a combine when these twins lit it up.

Chris is a WR who I watched run a 4.42 40 and has jaw dropping moves. When you watch a kid run that fast with the intensity as if he wanted to run through a brick wall, it is impressive and you can tell alot about a kids desire.

Demitrious is just a hair slower but has the same mind boggling moves. He is so fast through the line that defenses are usually late as they watch him run by them. Notice how long the strides are on these smaller but dynamic players. He won't play QB in college both had a ton of offers going into this season. These kids are both big time athletes who, in my mind, are a steal for Pitt.
