2012 WAS THE YEAR!

Recruiting is everything when it comes to college football. Then it should be no mystery as why Michigan hasn't been relevant since 2006. Take a look back at some of them recruiting classes. Other than Brandon Graham, who was really a top notch player? Yes, Ryan Mallett left the program when Rodriguez took over the reigns as well. If I had a dollar for every 5'10" 175LB skill player he recruited, I would still be living off the royalties.
So what Brady Hoke has accomplished in a short period of time is astonishing. I believe in a couple years, Michigan fans will look back and say "2012 was when everything changed".

When Brady Hoke was called on by David Brandon to become the new Michigan coach, he took it serious. One of the first things he focused on was toughness. Toughness means, the trenches. Everything starts with your offense and defensive lines. Immediately coach Hoke went to work, recieving commitments from OL Ben Braden and road grader Caleb Stacey. Soon after the commitments kept rolling in with AJ williams who is massive and could actually grow into a lineman. Focus on the trenches and now Kalis, Barrs, Magnuson.

With defense being less than stellar over these last few years it became a huge focus as well. So what does coach Hoke do here, is he up to the challenge? Yes, he is. Michigan needs LB's as ferocious as anything else. Here comes the NO.2 and 3 ranked LB's in the country with Jenkins Stone and Big Ross. Not to be overlooked is Bolden and Ringer and from what I have seen from Bolden on film, he can drop in coverage as good as anyone I have seen. With the DL depth becoming an issue, Hoke pressed on with studs like Strobel, Pipkins, Wormley and Godin. This is an epic class and ranked NO.1 by a majority of recruiting sites. Michigan will be 9 games good this year and relevant in the Big-Ten. Two years from now they will be Big-Ten mullers and relevant all over the country.
